Moab Reunion

Fawson Family reunion was wonderful.  We had a nice drive there and we listened to Where the Red Fern Grows and the way.  Elijah got to come in our car.  As soon as we go there we went to the National Park and it was just as beautiful as ever.  We hiked around some arches that are called the Parade of Elephants.

That evening we went to a BBQ  at the park.  Great food, fun crafts and games for everyone to do.  It was just great to see everyone. We stayed at a motel where most of the other families from our reunion were staying.

The big orchestra production took place at a church on saturday morning. I have never seen anything like this.  It was amazing to see extended family come together like that at perform so well.  I feel so blessed to be a part of it.   There was a full orchestra with a wide variety of instruments.  I was in the singing group with the children.  So much thanks to Aunt Elaine and Rebecca for all the hard work of putting that together.

What a special day!  Lily Julia Poulsen was baptized and it was great to be there!  All her family is so happy for her and she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  I felt a wonderful spirit of love and joy while i was there.  Thanks Lily.

Crazy Hair Day

The also had the parent picnic the same day so Brad, Seth and Sheri went and had a picnic with our school kids.  It was a fun day to go and see all the other crazy hairdo’s.  They give all the kids a Frisbee to play with their parents.  that is the second time that we have gone to one of those and it is a blast!  Seth even had a crazy hair day.  I sprayed blue dots all over his head.

Joseph had some blue hair too.

American Legion

Joseph and Izabelle performed at the American Legion Meeting with their Dixie Spirit Choir.  Joseph sang a Solo part of God Bless The USA.  He sang the second verse.  Then Izabelle also had a solo part in the song titled Let There Be Peace On Earth.  The sang several patriotic songs and the finished with the national anthem and did a great job.

Rainy Day and a Monday

No school because of Martin Luther King Day and it rains.  So we pulled out a Rainbow what could be better ?  Not just any rainbow it’s a pinatta rainbow.   We took it over to our cousins house and broke it open with Anna and Lily and Grace.  We took this picture of the rainbow a couple of days after and the morning of Izabelle’s first dance class.

Frobscottle Party

Our family finished reading The BFG (Big Friendly Giant). This is a book that we got for Christmas.  I remember my Mom reading it to me when I was a little girl. Thanks Mom.

To celebrate we had a frobscottle party!  In the book the Giants all drink frobscottle this amazing drink that tastes like vanilla and cream with a hint of raspberry.  We made up a recipe for frobscottle. One can of cream soda and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a spoonful of seedless raspberry jam with two ice cubes combine all ingredients in the blender and Whalla!  It is really very delicious! We invited Uncle Drake to come over and share in the festivities.  We talked about some of our favorite parts of the story and we lived happily ever after.

New Year Hike

The last day before the kids went back to school we went on a hike together!  At the start of this hike there is a little duck pond. The weather was just beautiful and the views were too.  When we go to the top we stopped and had a snack and looked at the view.

After our hike we went home and made sugar cookies and took them to some friends.  We also visited our Dad who was across the street working with our Uncle Drake.  It has been a very fun break and the kids are excited to go back to school.IMG_0800
